![]() ![]() I really want to try 3DCoat so I will install it again but will make sure to monitor temperatures and perhaps manually set my GPU fan to 100%. It seems plenty of people use 3DCoat with no problems at all, which is probably a better indicator than my single post about a single instance. I have just checked these posts again and see now that they talk specifically about the CPU and not the GPU, though they also talk about 3DCoat having to render each frame like a game, so I would be interested to see what GPU temperatures are like when using it. At the time my card died, I went to the 3DCoat forums and saw some posts talking about 100% CPU use when using 3DCoat. ![]() I also mentioned memory, which was an error - I should have said CPU/GPU. Kiev, Pilgway Studios is glad to announce 3D-Coat 4.5 is officially released and available for download now This particular update has taken us a while to deliver, but we made sure to include a whole LOT of new, great features to make 3D-Coat a more versatile and powerful 3D painting and digital sculpting tool. What I said is that I had a brand new graphics card die while using 3DCoat and I was intrigued by peoples’ comments regarding high fan usage (indicating heating) when it was running, but I tried to make it absolutely clear I have no evidence linking my cards death with 3DCoat. If you are referring to my post, please be aware that this is not what I said. That this had memory holes a wears out graphics cards fast? Hey I heard a worrying thing a few post back. ![]()
